Visiting Guidelines During Virus Season
To protect everyone’s health this virus season, Salinas Valley Health welcomes visitors ages 12 or older from November 10, 2025 to March 31, 2026. Visiting hours are from 9:00am-8:00pm. Please limit visits in patient rooms to 15 minutes with a maximum of two visitors per patient. Anyone experiencing symptoms of a respiratory virus, or who has been recently exposed to one, is not permitted in patient care areas.

Free Colon Cancer Screening Event
Are you 45 years or older, have a family history of cancer, symptoms, or questions about colon cancer? Join us for a free colon cancer screening on Friday,
November 14, from 12:00pm-5:00pm at our Mobile Clinic, conveniently located near the main entrance of the medical center. The event takes place rain or shine and valet parking is available in our garage for your convenience.

On Saturday, November 15, this free community event takes place at Toro Park and on Sunday, November 16, the group meets in Soledad for a vineyard hike.

Walk With a Doc 
Join Nicolas Kissell, MD, Medical Director of the Salinas Valley Health Diabetes & Endocrine Center, for our next Walk With a Doc. Following a brief presentation on diabetes awareness, Dr. Kissell will lead the group in a two-mile walk over flat terrain. Walk With a Doc takes place on Saturday, November 8, from 9:00am-10:00am, at the Badger Hills Trailhead of Fort Ord National Monument
(across from Toro Café on Highway 68).
